A fish was dead in an aquarium. According to fish witnesses, the dead fish believes that it lives in the boiling oil but not water, because it feels more and more bubbles emerged around it and it feels hurt. “But other of us all live well in the same area.” insisted by a witness. “Anyway, R.I.P.”

Fry shows my pain of suffering SAD (Social Anxiety Disorder), especially in an unsuccessful group social situation. It’s inspired by a fish frying process, when I saw the fish "drowned" in the sparkling liquid oil, I can image and almost feel the same pain of it. Thus this work is utilizing texture and value contrast to purely depict an uncomfortable scene. When you stay far from the picture, you can recognize the dead fish being submerged by the eyes bubble; but when you walk close enough to the giant picture, you will be focused by the eyes bubble.
